The written Computer Based Exam for the Armed Police Constable posts comprises 100 questions, carrying a total of 100 marks. The paper features multiple-choice questions with four alternative answers per item.

Candidates must be mindful of the negative marking rules. A deduction of 1/4th or 0.25 marks applies to every incorrect answer selected.
