NTA has released an advisory for NIFT 2025 candidates, stating that they must bring their original Aadhaar card and admit card for biometric verification. The items allowed include a transparent water bottle, admit card, ID proof, and stationery. Candidates appearing for both B Des and M Des exams must carry two admit cards. Latecomers will not be allowed entry.
NIFT 2025 Entrance Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates appearing for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFT 2025). According to the notice, candidates are required to bring their original Aadhaar card and admit card to the examination center for verification. In biometric verification, the candidate’s thumb impression will be taken multiple times.
NIFT 2025 Entrance Exam: Items Allowed Inside the Exam Hall
The following items are allowed inside the exam centre:
- A personal transparent water bottle
- Admit card with self-declaration (undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website (a clear printout on A4 size paper, duly filled in)
- One additional passport size photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet
- Original valid identity proof
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser, ruler (in a transparent pouch), and an A4 transparent acrylic board (for B Design/M Design candidates).
Candidates appearing for both Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programmes must bring two copies of their admit cards to the respective exam centres. Additionally, candidates are required to reach the exam centre by the reporting time specified on their admit cards.
NIFT 2025 Entrance Exam: Information for PwD Candidates
Candidates seeking relaxation under the PwD category must submit their PwD Certificate issued by a recognized authority. Physically challenged candidates are encouraged to arrive early to smoothen the admission process.
PwD candidates whose physical limitations hinder them in writing and who require a scribe will be given an additional time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, regardless of whether they use a scribe or not.
The facility of a scribe will be provided only if the candidate has a certified physical limitation which necessitates another person to write on their behalf. This certificate should be issued in the prescribed format by the CMO, Civil Surgeon or Medical Superintendent of a Government Healthcare Institution.
Please note, PwD candidates will not be provided a scribe for the Creative Ability Test (CAT).
