Eligibility and Educational Rules

Candidates must hold qualifications obtained through a regular, full-time course from a recognized University or Institute. Those holding degrees via Part-Time, Distance Learning, or Correspondence are explicitly ineligible, as are applicants with allied branches of engineering diplomas. Furthermore, individuals currently pursuing higher studies or possessing one year or more of Act Apprentice training or job experience cannot apply.

The applicant’s final year mark sheet or passing certificate must bear a date of 1 July 2023 or later. Those awaiting physical certificates may apply, but original documents are mandatory at the time of verification.

Specific science degree requirements apply:

  • Applicants for Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) and Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) under the RDSDE scheme require a B.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics (with Chemistry as the major).
  • Applicants for Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant) require a B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (with Physics as the major).
  • Graduates with Biology (only Botany or only Zoology) are restricted to applying as Graduate Apprentices for Secretarial Assistant or Recruitment Executive (HR).

Age Limit and Relaxations

The minimum age requirement is 18 years, with an upper age limit of 25 years for all trades, calculated as of 1 September 2026. Age relaxations apply as follows:

  • SC/ST: 5 years

RCF Ltd will disburse its portion on a fixed monthly date, while BOAT disburses its share directly to ACT Apprentices.

Training Timings and Postings

Apprentices will be stationed at either Thal or Trombay based on organizational requirements and approved intake quotas. Candidates must secure their choice in the “Posting At” drop-down during application, as it is non-transferable throughout the duration.

  • Graduate Apprentices: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Technician and Trade Apprentices: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Attendance utilizes a Face Recognition-based system requiring daily IN and OUT punches. Late arrivals result in stipend deductions, and missing punches are recorded as absences.

Selection Process

Selection is conducted strictly via a merit list, formulated using the percentage criteria of the required educational qualification alongside applicable reservations. Where grades or CGPA/CPI are used, candidates must submit equivalent percentages based on institutional norms. Merited candidates are subsequently invited for Document Verification. Appointment relies entirely on the approval of the Apprenticeship Contract on the respective NAPS or NATS portals.

Tie-Breaking Policy: In instances of tied marks, the applicant holding a higher qualification takes precedence. If qualifications are identical, marks in the preceding educational degree will dictate the ranking.

Essential Guidelines to Remember

Applicants are restricted to applying for only ONE trade or discipline; submitting multiple applications will void all of them. The provided email and mobile number must remain active. False information will lead to immediate disqualification.

RCF Ltd emphasizes that successfully completing training does not guarantee permanent employment. Premature termination of training without valid justification will prevent the issuance of a certificate and may trigger stipend recovery. Should any legal disputes arise, they will be handled exclusively within the jurisdiction of Mumbai courts.
